INJURY
WAIVER

DANCEWEAR
& SHOES
Please
dress comfortably, with clothing that allows you to move freely. NOTE:
We don't recommend jeans (unless stretchy) or boots.
Since it
is difficult to learn to write without a pen or a pencil, it is also
difficult to learn to dance without dancing shoes. All students are
advised to bring dance shoes and the required dancewear to class each
time.
You need leather sole shoes to dance Salsa/Mambo and be able to turn. Street shoes can be used, but they tend to be a little slippery on a good hardwood dance floor. Don't wear rubber (unless the floor is filthy), because it is like wearing brakes! Real dance shoes have a suede bottom, which is a little grippier, but just right.
