INJURY WAIVER

Parents, legal guardians of minors, students, and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class time.

DANCEWEAR & SHOES

Please dress comfortably, with clothing that allows you to move freely. NOTE: We don't recommend jeans (unless stretchy) or boots.

Since it is difficult to learn to write without a pen or a pencil, it is also difficult to learn to dance without dancing shoes. All students are advised to bring dance shoes and the required dancewear to class each time.

You need leather sole shoes to dance Salsa/Mambo and be able to turn. Street shoes can be used, but they tend to be a little slippery on a good hardwood dance floor. Don't wear rubber (unless the floor is filthy), because it is like wearing brakes! Real dance shoes have a suede bottom, which is a little grippier, but just right.

KIDS DANCEWEAR & SHOES

Girls

  • Girls should wear black leotards and a black short sleeve shirt.
  • Character shoes of 1” heel, jazz sneakers or dance slippers are required.
  • No oversized shirts, tutus, scarves, belts, or excessive jewelry/hair ornaments permitted.
  • Hair must be worn annoyance free - pulled back from the face.
  • Leotards, trunks and dance bags can be purchased at the dance supply store.

 Boys

  • Boys—White T-shirt, black sweatpants.
  • Bloch or capezio dance sneakers or dance shoes
